How To Get Below 15% Body Fat

How To Get Below 15% Body Fat

For the most part most guys would like to get down to an optimal weight in which we feel comfortable.
Now, this weight (or body fat %), is different for us all.

And that’s understandable.

We are all different. And at different stages of our health and fitness.
For some of us, we're fairly happy with where you are right now.
And that’s fine.

But, for others of you (most of you I’m assuming as you came to this blog), want more, much more.
You are one of the guys that wants to take action and actually lose weight

Why not 10%, or 20%, or for that matter, 14%?

Well, the thing is, regardless of what weight you are on the scale, its the body fat percentage that really counts.

For now, what’s important for you to remember is this...
...when it comes to fat loss for us guysits the percentage of body fat concerns us.

Why 15%?

You see, 15% body fat is generally accepted as being the acceptable amount of fat a man can have without causing too many issues.
Anything above this number, (give or take a %) it’s a little more difficult.

When your bodyfat comes down to within this range of other great benefits can happen.
One of these benefits is insulin sensitivity.
Should this normalise again, not only can you tolerate carbohydrates better, but it becomes easier to burn fat.

Another side effect is that inflammation within your body will start to reduce.
This happens because insulin levels start to reduce.

Let Me Put It Another Way

Getting below 15% body fat will not only make you look better on the outside, but also on the inside!

Oh, and it’s easier to build muscle as testosterone increases, too!
Here's a link on how to avoid ruining your testosterone

Right OK, enough with the facts.
Let's show you what it takes to do this.

Training

I’m sorry to break this to you...
...but if you thought you could get below 15% body fat without any training (and preserving muscle), you were mistaken.

Don’t get me wrong, you can definitely
lose a massive amount of weightwithout any exercise.

But, to get to where you really want to be, it's going to take some effort on your part.

You can also get below 15% body fat without training, but you know what…
...your muscle mass will disappear just as quick as the fat is.

So, let me ask you this…

Would you rather be below 15% body fat, and keep your muscle mass.

Or,

Skinny and weak, with no muscle whatsoever.

…..thought so.

In terms of what type of training you should use, it really is up to you. I've actually included some great workout routines as part of my advanced weight loss program.

And by that, I don't mean go and make something up.
I mean pick a certain type of training you know you are going to stick to.

Some Good Places To Start

Some good places to start would be:
  • Weight training
  • HIIT
  • Yoga
If you prefer weights over yoga, then it makes sense to start there.
That said, if you know you will stick to a yoga plan over a HITT routine, then start there.
Each of these will serve a slightly different purpose than the other.
But the end result would still see you get below your goal of 15% body fat.

Nutrition

The biggest factor in determining if you get below 15% body fat is what you eat each day.
If you think you can eat unhealthy foods all day and achieve this...good luck.

On the other hand, if you’re serious about this (I know you are)...

...then changing your diet to include foods that help support your goals, is a must!
  • This is a link to read more about the foods you need.
That said, what you eat is just as important (if not more) than what you don’t eat.

To put another way.
Removing highly refined foods and drinks will go a long way in helping you reach your goal.

Breakfast

Regardless of what time you have breakfast, your first meal of the day should include a 3 things.
Theses are, low gi carbs, proteins, and healthy fats.

In other words, whole foods that contain everything you need to get the day going right, but also keep you full.

Hold back on the cereals, breakfast bars, and any other “healthy breakfast” ideas you have in your have in your mind.

If this means waking up an extra 10-15 mins to have this type of breakfast, then you know you what…

…..it’s worth doing.

These are the little things that are going to make all the difference to you when it comes getting below 15% body fat.

Communication is simply the act of transferring information from one place, person or group to another.

Communication is simply the act of transferring information from one place, person or group to another. Every communication involves (at least) one sender, a message and a recipient. This may sound simple, but communication is actually a very complex subject. The transmission of the message from sender to recipient can be affected by a huge range of things. These include our emotions, the cultural situation, the medium used to communicate, and even our location. The complexity is why good communication skills are considered so desirable by employers around the world: accurate, effective and unambiguous communication is actually extremely hard. A communication therefore has three parts: the sender, the message, and the recipient. The sender ‘encodes’ the message, usually in a mixture of words and non-verbal communication. It is transmitted in some way (for example, in speech or writing), and the recipient ‘decodes’ it. Of course, there may be more than one recipient, and t...
